As the year finally comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to look back at one of my favorite memories from my time with Stela 9 in Rio Dulce, Guatemala. I started the new Wild & Free Blog with a post from the same location, and even though I’ve been away from Guatemala for months now, looking back on the photos makes it feel like the experience happened yesterday. I remember how it started to lightly rain while I paddled the canoe, and how I was deathly afraid that a savage animal could tip me over at any moment and devour me whole. Thankfully I survived and managed to take home some amazing photos from my short jungle adventure.
