As I sit here, trying to describe my experience in Tulum so far, I’m at a loss for words… So many things keep flooding my mind and it hard to verbalize the world I stepped into.

I guess I should start by introducing my friend and photographer for this trip Clint, of Clint Robert Photography, or, as you may have already discovered, @clinteastwood on Instagram. I may or may not have kidnapped this babe to travel with me to Tulum as my side-kick and blog photographer. Clint and I have been friends for two years and I’ve watched his photography business grow from the ground up in such a beautiful and stunningly successful way. He inspires me to work hard and be true, to not only my passions in life, but to myself. Having him travel with me on my first international trip for the blog is truly a dream. I can’t wait to show everyone the work we’ve done the past two days and the work we have planned for the rest of our time here in the wonderful world of Tulum.

I thought I would start off our stream of blog posts with an outfit featuring one of my all time favorite designers, Girl On A Vine. This maxi skirt danced me through our first stormy evening in Mexico. It’s hurricane season here and the storms roll in quicker than you can anticipate. One moment you’ll be strolling down the sunny beach and the next you’re running for cover, grabbing your belongings as the thunder booms in the distance and rain dumps from the deep gray sky.

During the first storm Clint and I sat inside a room made almost completely out of windows. Employees from the resort were rushing to keep everything shut, and we watched as our outdoor surroundings were engulfed in a torrential downpour. Then, almost as quickly as it happened, it was over, and we went back outside to continue shooting.

So far, this stormy moment has been my favorite. I’ve never experienced anything like it, and the strength of the storm as it engulfed the room was something I’ll never forget. Nature always to amazes me. In this fleeting moment of chaos I was reminded how in the blink of an eye, life can change so drastically. With sudden storms like this, Tulum forces me to live in the moment, and really appreciate life for each second.

Tomorrow we’re off on another adventure, living for each magical moment.
xx
