Oh, Lightning in a Bottle, where do I even begin expressing my love for you?

This was my third year in attendance and I can confidently say that each time I return home from LIB dreamland, I feel more inspired, full of love and ecstatically happy than ever before.

This festival beams authenticity. It’s as if the air radiates love into your soul as soon as you set up camp. Strangers smile at you, give you high fives, hug you, and engage in genuine conversations without expecting anything in return. It’s a community centered on kindness and unity. Basically everything that’s awesome all in one place.

When thinking of my festival outfits for LIB, I knew I wanted to support small brands and shop ethically. My main thoughts centered on using pieces I already have as well as incorporating a few new labels into the mix that were either Etsy based or operated by one individual. I love when I can connect with other women around the world who are doing something similar to what I do with Wild & Free Jewelry (aka working out of their home, creating made to order pieces or handling orders on a small custom design basis).

In my hunt for unique, ethical fashion, I discovered Sew Red, a bohemian clothing label that makes the raddest bell bottoms.  After a few Etsy messages with the designer, Kristen, we decided to collaborate (YAY!). When I received the package in the mail, I was SO HAPPY. The two pieces I chose for LIB (Tie Dyed Bell Bottoms and Side Slit Maxi Skirt)  were made from ultra soft cotton and fit perfectly. I know I’m going to wear both pieces again and again, and I can’t thank Kristen enough for working with me.

It’s so important to use your money wisely when searching for new clothing and I think Sew Red is my new favorite shop! If these photos don’t convince you to take a peek at her Etsy shop, take a moment to view these >>> Fringe Bell Bottoms <<< and I’m pretty sure you’ll also fall in love.

More festival fashion and a few recollections of my favorite memories, coming up next on the Wild & Free Blog.

xx
