Day Dream
A couple months back, the stunning bohemian wedding dress line Daughters of Simone asked me to be the face of their next campaign, “Day Dream”. I’ve loved DoS for ages and when I received that e-mail I felt ecstatic. I knew their new collection would be beautiful and to have the opportunity to play dress up all day in ethereal gowns sounded like a dream come true.
Their new collection strikes the usual romantic bohemian notes but with a touch of delicate simplicity.
Our shoot was divided into two days, dreamt up in golden fields and a stunning mansion with Victorian vibes reminiscent of Marie Antoinette. The photos here are from my favorite of the two days, of course, the portion photographed in the wild. This part of the campaign feels really dear to me as I was able to shoot it entirely on my tripod in one of my favorite locations near my hometown.
The day I set out to shoot turned out to be the perfect temperature with a light breeze rustling golden pods of grass as it moved softly through the valley. I was even blessed with stunning clouds, outstretching their fluffy arms as far as I could see. The world felt quiet, in balance, and at peace. I felt like I was truly inside a day dream.
